Department of Neurosurgery

Among different surgical fields, neurosurgery holds a special status, which not only applied the methods of other surgeries, but it also uses its own specific techniques that are not practiced in other fields. In general, neurosurgery shares common grounds with neurology, neurosciences and psychiatry.

Neurosurgery involves the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of the central nervous system and spinal disorders, including concussions, strokes to the spine and peripheral nerves, intervertebral disc herniation, spinal damages, tumors of the brain and spinal cord, brain aneurism, vascular abnormalities of the nervous system, convulsions, painful syndromes, evolutionary changes of the brain, skull and spine, and hydrocephaly.
